    My probation officer wants to send my away
    Hi, I am on probation, my probation officer found out I had drank on mothers day because I have a bunch of family problems and the cops were at my house not due to my drinking but due to a family matter and now I am in the works of being sent some where because I have violated my probation, although I'm not sure if he violated me of he's just persuading my mom to send my to a rehab? So people somebody help I don't know my rights or the rights of my probation officer

    Hello samantha:

    You don't have many rights. You've already been convicted of something and you're under court supervision. You have the right to be represented at the violation hearing. Uhhh, that's about it.

    What rights does a probation officer have?? He can lock you up without probable cause. That's a pretty powerful dude.
