Can you get into safe mode? Press F8 quickly before the Windows xp loading screen appears. Run adaware, ccleaner, spybot and your anti-virus software.

Hmm, F2 is probably for access to the bios.

Unfortunately, it seems you may have to use the included recovery cds and bring the laptop back to factory conditions.

All right, don't run antivirus's that aren't Norton oor McAfee, oor it will deffinitley crash, I suggest that you go onto "My Computer" and in the white address box at the top, type in Mozilla.com, then download mozilla, then you need to go buy Norton Antivirus 2007 from Symantech.com, if this does not resolve your problem, you need to turn your computer off, then restart it about an hour later, and re-insert the vista CD, you will have to reinstall vista because if you can't get into the system at all it's the only thing you can do, but the next time you install be sure you get McAfee Firewall protection (only firewall, it's the best firewall) get Mozilla, not Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer causes more pop-ups, which leads to more viruses, Then get, Norton Anti-Virus 2007 its made for Vista, so it will rune perfectly, then update all of your software, and every time a windows security download comes up, please update it, it's there for you lol.. it provides your computer with definitions of viruses and PUP's (Potentially Unwanted Programs) set a schedule with Norton to scan every day at whatever time you want it, make sure it's a time you can be on, and if you see a trojan again, delete it as soon as possible, because trojans delete important files (thus your computer crashing) and if it cannot be deleted, put it into quarantine, then Use the Nortons "Live Update" feature as soon as possible, then after updating norton, go to your quarantined files, then delete it, and if it will not delete, wait until norton comes out with a live update that will delete it, when the trojan is quarantined, the virus cannot move throughout the computer, and get into importand files, if its not already in one..

As HVAC has already suggested, if you can't access anything including Safe Mode, then you only course of action that is left open to you is a complete rebuild.
Time to dig out the restore cd's and brew some coffee.
