    Refinancing does not affect your property taxes at all. Property taxes are based on the assessed value of the property, which has nothing to do with financing by the owner.

    A refinance will not affect your property taxes.

    If your taxes are paid though an escrow account, if you refiance you will need to be sure that account is transferred to the new lender.

    But in general as noticed the mortgage has no effect on the property taxes
