    Adding partner to deed
    I live in Pennsylvania and would like to add my partner's name to my home's deed. How do I do this?

    You have to prepare a deed from yourself, as seller, to yourself and your partner, as buyers. Then you have to have the deed recorded in the county clerk or county register's office.

    I suggest that you have this done by a title company or real estate attorney. It's not expensive and this way you'll be sure that it's done correctly. If it's not done correctly then you may have a lot of trouble getting it fixed.
