    Backedup laundry drain in wall
My washing machine drain hose goes into a pipe in wall (slightly lower than top of washer)during the rinse cycle water started gushing out of pipe-finished load by draining into a garbage can. Can I use a drain clearer or do I need a snake? Help please.

Please clarify this, from what I gathered you have a hose going into the wall just under the "top of the washing machine", and during the rinse cycle water started coming out of the hose where it meets the machine? Also, is there any drop in the hose from the outlet on the washing machine, does it go straight out, ot is it at a slight vertical grade? Let me know because there could be several routes to take on this matter.
