I think the stray dog is pregnant, how do I tell?
there has been a stray lab outside my house for the past 2 days, and we have tried feeding it but it won't eat, it only drinks a little water every now and then. i'm thinking that it is pregnant, but i can't tell. can someone help me??
also, i want to let it stay in our yard, but i already have 2 golden retirevers, one is a boy. what should i do??im not sure if i should take it to the vet or not, because it doesn't have a collar and i'm afraid it might be carrying a disease.

Thank you for caring for her. I will just not upset myself by thinking about her former owners. About a month after being breed, an experienced person can feel any puppies. There is also ultrasound and X-rays, but I'm sure you don't want that expense. Any vet can easily tell, some of the people that breed dogs regularly, or maybe even somebody at the local shelter. Any puppies will be born about 63 days after being breed.
Maybe your best thing would be to try to find a Lab rescue in your area. They are very caring people that love a breed of dogs, and take in ones need a home, give them training and medical care as needed, and then work to find the right home for them.
It is possible she was a well cared dog that her owners underestimated the lengths she would go to to get loose to find a male. Check the ads, shelters, vet's office, etc. The shelter and vets should also have a chip scanner.
Come back if you need more help. We will have family over Labor Day, and I may be slow getting back, but I care, and I will do all I can to help.

I am actually not old enough to drive, but my parents do not want to take it to the vet and don't really care about it.I want to call the humain society, but I don't think my parents want me to, because they don't want to go through the trouble

I left something important out, http://www.akc.org/breeds/rescue.cfm It is a good place to start to find a rescue, people that want to help, even if they are over loaded. Otherwise, the humane society shouldn't be much bother. As long as you have the dog restrained, so they can have when they come, that is all there is to it. The humane society struggles with too little resources for the job on hand.

Hi...
About a week ago, my kids and I discovered a stray cat at my ex's house. She HAS to be pregnant because of the way her belly looks. I grew up with cats and she's one of the friendliest I've ever seen! It seems when I call her, she comes from the garage, so I've made a "nest" of old...

Hi,
Four days ago I stumbed upon a small cat who appears to be pregnant. She is very sweet, skinny, and hungry. I fed her outside for about 3 days and just decided to bring her inside today. My concern is whether she has had kittens or is still pregnant. I couldn't find kittens anywhere, but...

I live in the desert and it was 127 yesterday and I seen a stray cat outside a truck stop. She is as big as a house. So I decided it's too hot to let her stay in this heat so I took her home. Yesterday mum was washing the dishes and outside the window she saw a cat come up to the door and have a sniff around. She was confused because it look exactly like our male tabby (who is desexed) except it had a red collar on. Then it ran back under the house.

We've had a pregnant stray hanging around for a little over a month now. We've been feeding her and provided a crate in the garage hoping she would opt to have the kittens in there. She's very friendly and loves all the attentions she's been getting.
Today, we ddn't see her for most of the day...
