    Lump behind right ear
    I have a lump behind right ear. It is not painful and it is atached to bone. What could it be? could it be serious?

    You need to be patient, we are not all online at the same time.

    Now, have you been ill recently? It could be a swollen lymph node or maybe a sebaceous cyst.

    How long have you had this?

    I'm sorry-just trying to figure this ask me help desk out... no, I haven't been ill but 17 yrs ago I had chemo for having rare cyst on appendix and was treated for colon cancer... so this cyst could be related to my lymph nodes?

    It is impossible to tell without diong a complete history and physical exactly what this is. However, since you have a history of cancer it would be very important that you seek medical advice from your doctor directly.

    Please make an appointment.

    I'm pretty sure it's a swollen lymph node! A lot of times they will swell if you are having allergies.

    This is quite possible, however, this person does have a history of cancer. It is best to have this checked out due to this important fact.
