Is this a sign of lack of character?
Ok I don't mean to sound judgemental, because it takes two but I'm wondering what you may think about a couple of things. I met this girl about a week ago at a friends party. She seems very nice although a little quiet. Two things have already happened that make me question whether she is girlfriend material. First of all, as I stated she is a little bit quiet and shy at least at first. So the first time we talked on the phone she felt the need to drink a little bit of wine beforehand to loosen up on the phone and feel more comfortable. This is fine with me as I love to drink, so this is not a problem. The weird part is, I could tell over our 3 hour conversation that she was getting pretty tipsy! Well, then I noticed when I was talking she began breathing heavy and moaning. I knew what she was doing and she told me she was touching herself. Keep in mind this is our first conversation! I just kind of laugh and said, " I can't believe you are masterbating while I talk. It was pretty funny. Then last night, we had our first official date. We had a couple drinks but neither of us were drunk for sure. At the end of the night she invited me in. We sat and talked for a bit, then she wanted to lay down and invited me into her room. We got pretty hot and heavy and then she said no sex because she didn't want to be that girl on the first date. Which I totally respect and I'm glad she felt that way. However, I'm already wondering if we did keep dating, can you actually build a strong relationship with somebody who starts this quickly sexually? As I said, I know it takes two, the bedroom was both of us, but the phone was all her. She has said she wants to find a guy to have a serious relationship. I just don't know if you can build a relationship starting so fast? What do you guys think? By the way I'm 28 and she is 30. I'm also thinking at her age that maybe she's just peaking sexually, I don't know. Any advice would be great! Thank you.

If she is shy... that may be her way of trying to open up to you. I would say give her another chance. The fact that she stopped you in the bedroom says a lot about her. I think that she might have just been trying to impress you. But when it came down to actually sleeping with you... she stopped. So give her another chance.

My advice would be to give her MY phone number. Just put one foot in front of the other... follow your heart but hear your head... rely on your friends to give you objective input if they notice things happening that may not be in your best interest.

Have fun but PLAY IT SAFE!!
