    Keyboard does not work
Hi folks I recently bought a Microsoft 4000 ergonomic keyboard for my laptop to help whilst typing. Problem it does not work. The bottom light comes on suggesting power is there but no keys will work.

    Thanks for any help

Look at end of plug, and look for a bent pin.

Try plugging it into a desktop PC. If it doesn't work, then you have a faulty keyboard.

You didn't say the mouse wasn't working. Click on the "START" button and go to "Control Panel." Click on "Keyboard," if it exists. When Keyboard Property Tab appears, if it does, click on the hardward tab to see if your computer "sees" a keyboard. Let me know if you want or need to go further.

Captinrich. I did exactly as you said and I got to hardware my laptop only shows one keyboard connected, Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard, I would expect to see 2 as I have 2 connected so I don't think my laptop sees the keyboard
