    How do I change a capacitor in ceiling fan?
    I have a Hampton Bay Huntington III ceiling fan that is only 7 months old. The fan speed is stuck in the "high" mode. Using the pull chain doesn't change the speed. I contacted HB's helpline and was advised that it was a bad capacitor. They mailed me a new one but no instructions. How do I change it?

    Simply disconnect the old one and wire the new one it's place. The wires should match up.

    It is in the "switch housing" with the pullchains and reverse switch, above the light.

    Capacitor in switch housing,
    Problem sounds more like bad switch than bad cap.
    Identify wires. Twist back and forth to remove Switch or isolate switch connections to verify switch switching with continuity tester.
