And I do want to say, especially for our national audiences, that those of us in Los Angeles understand that the unrest that has happened are a few blocks within the downtown area. It is not all of downtown, and it is not all of the city. Unfortunately, the visuals make it seem as though our entire city is in flames, and it is not the case at all, and I think it's important to say that.
Mostly peaceful protests have also broken out in your typical Dem controlled cities around the nation. In Seattle the police abandoned the areas around the Federal Building to the mob. Only after barricades were erected did police attempt to break it up. These riots should be called the Boasberg Riots . More than anyone else , Judge James Boasberg lit the flame with a series of rulings in March that went against Trump's decision to use the Alien Enemies Act (AEA) to expedite deportations. He ordered that any plane that had taken off with deportees to return to the US with their deportees in a verbal order . He knew it was too late but neatly set up a contempt trap for anyone in the Trump administration involved .
SCOTUS reversed his decision but the dye was cast . The compliant press rushed to paint the gangbangers on the planes as the victims .And other black robed appointed for life oligarchs took their cue from him and made one ruling after another against Trump's deportation policies. Mind you ;the main reason Trump was elected was to end Clueless Joe's open border policies and to deport the millions of illegals he allowed to cross the border . The truth is emerging slowly . The question is why had ICE raids been happening for weeks without violent mostly peaceful protests in LA and around the nation until a raid happened in the LA garment district ? What made this one different ?
Let's get past some of the narrative . They were NOT raiding a Home Depot. The parking lot at Home Depot was a staging area. They were not picking up random day workers in garment district sweat houses . Immigrants just struggling to make a living. They were not even really executing ICE raids . They were executing criminal arrest warrants that involved cartel money laundering operations in the district. Money the cartels make from drugs and human trafficking was being laundered in these operations . The Dems know it is true. When Kam the Sham was a DA she raided these businesses for the same reason. Mostly peaceful protesters ;about 1,000 of them surrounded the Ice Agents in a Federal building.
Last night, over 1,000 rioters surrounded a federal law enforcement building and assaulted ICE law enforcement officers, slashed tires, defaced buildings, and taxpayer funded property. It took the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) 2 hours to respond.
The delay was intentional. We would not know this except for a chat room by LAPD officers . 8,500 officers chat on this site. According to UK Daily Mail LA Mayor Karen Bass took control of the LAPD dispatch control room and intentionally delayed the police response for 2 hours .
Members also expressed alarm at LA Mayor Karen Bass, a Democrat, for allegedly taking command of their control room, delaying the deployment of officers, and putting federal agents and the public in danger.They also accused media outlets of one-sided coverage of the protests, by focussing on heavy-handed policing while overlooking the threat that some violent activists posed to cops and the public.More broadly, they say the city has 'quietly defunded' the LAPD since the George Floyd protests of 2020, and that today's force is understaffed, underresourced, and cannot handle the crisis exploding on the streets.
