Trudeau announced his resignation . But just not yet. He wants to wait for elections in the fall of this year. Whether they let him or not is an open question.

The conservative leader likely to replace him is Pierre Poilievre . He sounds like Trump. Tough on crime ; free market (well that is not quite Trump) ; denounces wokeism. He promised to

"cut bureaucracy, cut the consultants, cut foreign aid, cut back on corporate welfare to large corporations We're going to use the savings to bring down the deficit and taxes and unleash the free-enterprise system,"
    .

Most people are all for cutting the bureaucracy unless, of course, it is the part of the bureaucracy that is supplying them with goodies.

I understand that Trudeau will resign at some point in March. Until then, he has suspended parliament. It's likely because he does not want to endure a vote of no-confidence.

Trudeau was on the ropes until Trump's stupid threats . Now ??????

Canada's ruling Liberals, who a few weeks ago looked certain to lose an election this year, are mounting a major comeback amid the threat of U.S. tariffs and are tied with their rival Conservatives, according to three new polls.
