Newsom to China We are open for business
Screw Trump and DC . says Gavin Newsom.

California leads the nation as the #1 state for agriculture and manufacturing—and it's our workers, families, and farmers who stand to lose the most from this Trump tax hike and trade war. Newsome doubled down.
TO OUR TRADING PARTNERS AROUND THE GLOBE — California is here and ready to talk. We will not sit idly by during Trump’s tariff war. We make up 14% of the US GDP. We’re the 5th largest economy in the world. We’re not scared to use our market power to fight back against the largest tax hike of our lifetime.”
I think he should concentrate on keeping California businesses in the state . The state's taxes and regulations are just as damaging to businesses as tariffs are.

Chevron CEO Mike Wirth said it best in August when they announced their move out of the state.
“We believe California has a number of policies that raise costs, that hurt consumers, that discourage investment and ultimately we think that’s not good for the economy in California and for consumers,”

Newsome's objective is not to buddy up to China, but rather to oppose Trump in all ways and at all costs.
