Is that what American workers want?

I spent my entire career in manufacturing .The company I worked for grew steadily from a small operation to one of the leading producers of our product line. As a middle manager I was responsible for staffing. Wages were good .
However even though we often were in need of workers ;and rarely had lay offs, I can say that I rarely hired American workers .

It's not that I wasn't looking for them. They rarely even applied .

American companies have to ask ;if we build them will they come ?

I think Madam Mim Nancy Pelosi was more in tune with the typical American worker . They want the pay but not the work. I was reminded recently about what she said in support of Obamacare . To paraphrase ;' you can work part-time, pursue a hobby, or a dream ; take a vacation, all made possible because you will get government freebees' .

I hired plenty of legal immigrants from all over the world . Almost all of them showed up in time ;gave a full day's effort ;and would've worked more hours if permitted . I only had a handful of Americans I could've said the same for. But how many social media influencers do we need ?

Manufacturing jobs would be good for America......if Americans really want them .
