The group is forefront in the campaign to ban gas stoves . They were featured prominently in the White House Inflation Reduction Act efforts ;and at the WH Electrifcation summit in December .

Alex Laskey, Founder and Executive Chair of Rewiring America, highlighted the role of household and business energy choices in addressing climate, cited estimates of cost savings and job creation, and argued that electrification fundamentally changes the paradigm regarding climate action – lowering emissions while getting better service at lower cost.
“From our count, 42% of all emissions [result from] decisions that are made at kitchen tables. That includes the cars we drive as well as how we heat our homes, heat the water in our homes, cook our food, and dry our clothing. … [Electrification creates] an opportunity for financial savings on the order of $1800 a year on average across the U.S. per household in a country where more than half of Americans don’t have $1000 to meet an emergency need. … [With the Inflation Reduction Act], the average American household has an electric bank account … it’s got $10,600 on average in it to help people electrify their homes. The challenge is that nobody knows about it yet. [We] have to let people know they have this money waiting for them to help them save.”

The group is big in promoting the use of convection stoves. Abrams is going to do legal work for them.

Her announcement comes as her Georgia voting grift is coming under scrutiny . Her ' New Georgia Project' disclosed a $533,000 consulting payment in 2021 to the 'Black Males Initiative', which claims it did not receive any funding from the organization .

Abrams does all of this between writing porn novels. I just wonder why we Americans put up with people like her and Biden telling us what kind of stove we can have. Just amazing. And in the meantime, we're overlooking the agricultural benefits of the increased CO2.

I am not opposed to having a debate about climate change and the effect of increased atmospheric CO2. I am opposed to this ideologically driven, government takeover based upon pretty thin evidence.

There is a stunning illogic in this move to ban gas stoves ...New York being the next state considering this insanity .

The proposal is to replace them with electric stoves. But almost half of NY electricity is the result of gas generation. The gas fires up the generators to make electrictiy . Then it gets transmitted to the home. 66% of the primary energy used to create electricity is wasted by the time the electricity arrives at the customer meter. Almost 10% of the electricity is lost in the transmission alone.

It takes three times as much energy to deliver electricity to your stove than gas.

The simple solution to preventing harmful emissions from affecting your health is to make sure that the fumes get properly vented.

It seems to me that it is far more efficient to burn the gas at the source.

Proposed in the summer ;the plan would impose energy standards on ceiling fans. Critics say it would have a negative impact on small businesses.

It appears that the Department of Energy (DOE) may not have properly considered small entities during this rulemaking process.
