Left-wing radicals have been mobilizing near the nation’s capital ahead of the January 20 inauguration, which has been moved indoors. Since summer, we have tracked D.C.’s radical networks—their movements, methods, and potential for violence. After George Floyd’s death in 2020, these groups learned that street protests could yield political gains. Now, with Donald Trump returning to the White House, they’re weighing their options.
This network is decentralized, adaptable, and steeped in organizing social unrest. Black Lives Matter messaging is fading, replaced by anti-Israel rhetoric. As Inauguration Day approaches, Communist militants and members of Antifa-aligned hubs have suggested storming the Capitol, bringing “direct action” to the streets, and obstructing law enforcement. If these demonstrations unfold, they will have been carefully planned and ideologically incited by professionals, some visible, others hidden.
The network spans college professors, nonprofit leaders, and masked and often troubled militants willing to engage in violence. Those less directly involved play a sophisticated inside-outside game, relying on prestigious NGOs to provide financing and logistics while maintaining arm’s length control over the more radical elements, which do the dirty work.
Key components of this infrastructure include legal organizations, violent demonstrators, street medics, propaganda specialists, and safehouses, indoctrination centers, and publications. Though some Antifa-aligned groups from prior riots have gone underground or merged, a core network of the most committed activists—veterans and new recruits alike—remains active and prepared.

OK I get it . The guy who wants to take Greenland is afraid of the cold .

Trump loves adoring crowds . I witnessed 10s of thousands jam into downtown Pickens South Carolina in sweltering heat to watch Trump speak for well over an hour . And that was true in venues across the country Similarly Trump supporters braved the freeze to attend his rallies .

Hundreds of Trump supporters stuck on freezing cold Omaha airfield after rally, 7 taken to hospitals

There is no doubt in my mind that the Secret Service that twice blew it this campaign protecting Trump made the call to take the crowd out of the equation.

Images keep popping into my head . Caesar in triump entering the Senate chambers comes to mind. I'm sure more than one of them are imagining a dagger in their hand .

You see January 2020 was a low point in Trump's political career His supporters perhaps thinking they were acting as his surrogates entered the Capitol in the hope of a last ditch effort to reverse the election results .

Now 4 years later Trump will enter the Capitol victorious . I can't think of a greater political comeback in American history .

So how real was the Iran plot against Trump ? Alex Isenstadt ;an Axios reporter ;was given (according to him ) exclusive inside access to Trump's campaign . He has a book that will be published in March about the campaign . From the title ,it looks like a hit piece . (a Politico reporter writing a hit piece about Trump...... whoda thunk it ?)

Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump's Return to Power: Isenstadt, Alex: 9781538765517: Amazon.com: Books

Excerpts from the book have been released as teasers .They deal with the assassination attempts and the Iran threat .(the compliant press is not on this yet ;but they will be) The reporting is from 'Axios' and 'Daily Beast '

Exclusive: Book reveals Trump's worry about Iran targeting him

    • Law enforcement officials warned Trump last year that Tehran had placed operatives in the U.S. with access to surface-to-air missiles.
    • Trump's team worried that the Iranians could try to down his easily recognizable personal jet — better known as "Trump Force One" — as it was taking off or landing.
    • The concern intensified after a foiled assassination attempt of Trump at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Sept. 15.

"Law enforcement officials warned Trump ... that Tehran had placed operatives in the U.S. with access to surface-to-air missiles."

Notable that Isenstadt does not identify which law enforcement agency warned him . That in itself is a question that begs for an answer.

For one event ,Trump used 'Trump One ' as a decoy . He flew on a jet owned by his friend Steve Witkoff(now Trump's special envoy to the Middle East) .

He divided his staff and some flew on Trump One.
Trump Used Decoy Plane After Iran Assassination Threat

Trump's chief of staff Susan Wiles rode with him, while her assistant Chris LaCivita flew on Trump One. LaCivita told the staff with him about the decoy .They were not informed in advance.

Anyway the Iran threat is still on Trump's mind .

Trump says he's given advisers instructions for Iran to be 'obliterated' if it assassinates him | AP News
