She bombed in a low bar interview in the friendly confines of 60 Minutes with Bill Whitaker .
Kamala Harris: The 2024 60 Minutes Interview (youtube.com)
caveat Above video is the result of no doubt heavy editing by the compliant press Commie Broadcast Station. Whitaker did a bunch of over dubbing as Kam rambled in. So it was probably even worse.
Whitaker explained "Harris says she’ll press Congress to pass a federal ban on price-gouging for food and groceries, but details are yet to be defined" when he tried to translate her response to a question about inflation.
She said don't believe your lying eyes about the economy . She understands macro-economics even if you don't . "
We now have an economy that is thriving by all macroeconomic measures" . When asked to elaborate she went into word salad .
"Prices are still too high, and I know that. And we need to deal with it, which is why part of my plan—you mentioned groceries—part of my plan is what we must do to bring down the price of groceries."
But those macro-economics !!
She gave typical socialist Dem talking points
Tax the rich to invest in small business because small business is the backbone of America .
Whitaker had asked the $ trillion dollar question. How will you pay for it ? As a follow-up he challenged her on getting Congress to go along. She said that secretly Reps and Senators agree with her. And in doing so she gave the lie of the interview .
You know, when you talk quietly with a lot of folks in Congress, they know exactly what I'm talking about because their constituents know exactly what I'm talking about," "I am a devout public servant, you know that. But I am also a capitalist."
The implication being that there is a contradiction about someone being both a public servant and a capitalist . Don't you know all public servants are socialists ?
So here's the deal . If she is elected Congress will march in goose step to her plan.
We now know her gun is a Glock
How does she explain her flip flopping ? word salad time
"I have been traveling our country, and I have been listening to folks, and seeking what is possible in terms of common ground."
(break for heavy editing) "
I believe in building consensus. We are a diverse people, geographically, regionally, in terms of where we are in our backgrounds, and what the American people do want is that we have leaders who can build consensus, where we can figure out compromise, and understand it's not a bad thing, as long as you don't compromise your values, to find common sense solutions. And that has been my approach."
At this point any interview worth their profession would've asked ;" what the F-are you talking about ?"
But not Whitaker.
She gave Trump a campaign ad .
"I believe in my soul and heart, the American people are ready to turn the page" (I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message
)
That was a response to her flipflop on the border. More word salad
"
Solutions are at hand," . "The policies that we have been proposing have been about fixing a problem not about promoting a problem, OK?"
Huh ????
Asked about Israel ? Even more word salad.
"The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles," "The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region."
Does that include more lives lost because Israel has to step through a minefield of restrictions you impose on how they are supposed to defend themselves ?
On Ukraine joining NATO she dodged the question.
To her credit . She did better than Walz.
