Clueless Joe's gun control speech
Shocker Hunter convicted on all charges .
Best part was CNN's reaction when they found out that suddenly the White House cancelled a press briefing scheduled for after the verdict.
Townhall.com on X: "CNN Anchors find themselves completely stunned when KJP cancels the White House press briefing following Hunter Biden’s guilty verdict. https://t.co/nS2rwhUP2V" / X
Most bizzaro was Clueless Joe making an address in favor of strict gun laws on the same day Hunter was convicted for violating gun laws . Who does his scheduling ?
He told lie after lie after lie as he mumbled and stumbled through the speech .

Can he please stop bringing up personal tragedy for his political gain ? At this point his empathy seems contrived .
In less than a minute (at the 18:10 minute ) he claimed
he was a professor at U Penn lie
he taught Constitutional law lie
that you could not own a cannon during the Civil War lie There were no restrictions on ownership in the 19th century at all.
FACT: Restrictive gun control laws are a distinctly modern phenomenon in the United States. For the first century of American history, serious state-level regulation of individual gun ownership or usage was almost non-existent for law-abiding citizens. For example, despite oft-repeated claims to the contrary, nothing prohibited private citizens from owning cannons. In fact, private cannon ownership was apparently so common that one of the first types of arms restrictions imposed by some towns were ordinances restricting the times and locations where people could fire off those cannons inside town limits.30 Similarly, because gunpowder at the time was very unstable and prone to easy ignition, a number of states and cities limited the amount of gunpowder that could be stored in private residences, hoping to reduce the risk of accidental explosions or fires in urban areas.31 But beyond these sorts of “time, place, and manner” regulations, the right to keep and bear arms was virtually unrestricted in most states until the end of the 19th century.
Restrictive gun control measures are an even more recent phenomenon at the federal level. The first major federal law regulating firearms was the National Firearms Act of 1934, which was relatively tame by today’s standards.32 It merely required that machine guns and certain types of “short-barreled” long guns be subjected to a special tax and be registered with the Secretary of the Treasury. The federal government did not even prohibit certain categories of individuals (such as felons) from possessing firearms until the Gun Control Act of 1968, and did not require licensed gun sellers to conduct background checks until the 1993 Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act.33

He made misleading comments about crime rates .

He again made the false claim that to take on the government you need F-15s not guns .
Hmmm does that explain why he is trying to remove F-15s from state control ;and put all Air National Guard under Federal control ?

What he is really saying is that the government would be willing to use F-15s on Americans if it deemed it necessary.
Here are some facts .

Maybe we need rifles ;cannons and maybe F-15s to protect ourselves because the Federal Government refuses to do so.

So the FBI was alerted to a threat, and they then alerted the sheriff's office to the threat. I wonder if anyone ever bothered to tell the school that they had a student named so and so who was making threats about shooting up the school? It would have made sense, after receiving phone calls about shootings, for the school to focus on that particular student IF IF IF they knew about the previous incidents.

I can't understand this . They had an address where the threats were coming from. No probable cause ????
The kid has a right to get an education. He has no right to get it in a public school. He could've been sent to a higher security school like many districts have;or he could've been given classes on line like many students were compelled to do.
In the days to come we will probably be hearing of other obvious signs that were ignored .
What is really disturbing (time for me to put on my conspiracy theory tin foil hat) is the frequency of the FBI knowing of the threat in advance and failing to act on it.
Maybe if they spent less time infiltrating Catholic churches looking for terrorists they would have the resources .

update :
the kid said he deleted his account because it was being hacked . But the account had been created after the kid told the FBI he had deleted it. WTF !!! So he lied to them too and still they took no action.
Following the tips from Discord users, authorities went to the Grays’ residence and spoke to both Colt, who was then 13 and a student at Jefferson Middle School in Georgia, and his father, Colin, according to the report. Colin denied knowing what Discord was, and Colt said he had deactivated his Discord account months prior. Discord is a free messaging app, predominantly used in the gaming community.
“Colt expressed concern that someone is accusing him of threatening to shoot up a school, stating that he would never say such a thing, even in a joking manner,” the report says. “Colt stated he stopped using Discord because too many people kept hacking his account and he was afraid someone would use his information for nefarious purposes.”
The tip the FBI received about the Discord account said it had been created in April 2023 — after Colt said he deleted his account.

You can be fairly certain that no one in the FBI will be held accountable. It will be the same as with the Trump assassination attempt and the Secret Service. There will not even be an admission of incompetence. It seems to be the norm with the federal government now, that inefficiency and poor performance are just considered to be standard operating procedure.

This case is a cliche . The mom is a career criminal.
Marcee Gray has a criminal record spanning more than 17 years and four counties, court records show. The 43-year-old has faced prosecution in Barrow, Fulton and Forsyth counties, accused of domestic violence, drug possession, property damage and traffic violations. She has also faced civil fraud claims related to a vehicle purchase and was in jail in Ben Hill County as recently as April, according to publicly available court filings.
Mother of Apalachee HS shooting suspect has 17-year-old criminal record (ajc.com)
She was a great mom. She would do things like lock her kids out of the house during inclement weather .
This kid was a disturbed person crying for help and everyone around him knew it.
Colt Gray, 14, had been “begging for months” for mental health help before he allegedly carried out the attack Wednesday that left four people dead and nine others injured, according to an aunt of his. He “was begging for help from everybody around him,” Annie Brown, the aunt, told The Washington Post. “The adults around him failed him.” Brown, who lives in Central Florida, declined to elaborate on the teen’s mental health challenges but said she tried from afar to get him help

His parents split . They were evicted from their home . He was being picked on
in school
His father was concerned that the kid spent too much time on video games .
So he took him out shooting. He proudly showed investigators photos of the boy with
deer blood on him after he had shot his first deer.

Originally I wrote that the dad kept guns locked up. New reports suggest he did not . He told investigators that his guns were not locked up BUT they stored without ammo .woooohooo !!
The guy is a moron.
Knowing all that was going on with his kid ;he gave him a rifle as a Christmas gift.

Typical of these tragedies . All the warning signs were there and ignored .

The use of guns is glorified in movies, television, and video games. Since we have become so accustomed to seeing people portrayed as killed, it's a wonder to me that more of these events don't happen. The school I retired from was K-12 on one campus, so we got to know the kids well. That is not the case with 99% of high schools. They are more on the lines of large education factories.
Worst of all, the general abandonment of the Christian worldview has taken away the high regard for human life which was more widely respected decades ago. We took down the Ten Commandments and banned school led prayers. The great majority of young people no longer see church attendance as a priority. We have removed our moral foundations.

Here's one method of gun control. The U.S. Army is at its smallest size since pre-World War II after being one of three major military services to miss recruiting goals last year. The Army has failed to meet its recruiting goals for the last two years and missed its 2023 target by 10,000 soldiers, a 20% shortfall, Vox reported.

The Chinese and Russkies are rejoicing. I imagine this is what happens when we insist on putting women into combat units and gay/trans people into uniform. The real men who we need in the military look at that and frequently say, "No, I'll find something else to do." The Army needs testosterone in a major way.

Instead of posting the Ten Commandments (negatives) in schools, post the Beatitudes (positives) -- plus similar blessings and encouragements from other religions as how to live a life full of love -- AND make discussion about them part of the school curriculum.

We posit negatives all the time. They are very useful. "Don't steal." Very useful negative. "Don't go over 70 mph." Very useful. But if you want to post the Beatitudes, then I'm all for it!! However, they are not positive commands. They are general statements of truth. They don't tell us to DO something as much as they tell the result and value of certain character traits. And even at that, if we cannot connect them to a living God, then they become nothing more than some interesting opinions, of no more value than the writings of Marx or Hitler.
I want to be there when this one is taught. "10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

The mom called the school warning them of what was going to happen. “it was an extreme emergency and for them to go immediately and find [her son] to check on him,”
Mother of Georgia suspect is said to have called school before shooting, warning of ‘emergency’ - The Washington Post
Her sister Annie Brown texts reveal that the family was in contact with the school about Colt’s mental health a week before the shooting. Brown also told a family member that Colt was having “homicidal and suicidal thoughts,”
OMG my tin foil had it glowing . Here we have your typical yee haw southern whites with guns in the house ;who give guns as Christmas gifts to their mentally disturbed son. This fits in perfectly with the liberal narrative of those who would confiscate guns. What better way to feed it than to allow it to happen and 'never let a crisis go to waste'?

We would have found the student immediately, grabbed his bookbag, and turned him over to the deputy. It's hard to imagine why this was not done, assuming that the report about the mom calling the school is correct.
