lol NYC is going to take gun actions against Trump .

Before he was charged he had a conceal and carry permit. But being a convicted criminal he no longer has the right in NY . He already surrendered 2 guns

But a 3rd gun is to him a collector piece ...... allegedly a Glock 19 with a picture of him on it .

He transferred the gun to Florida. But Federal and State law says he cannot own it as a convicted criminal. So NY is in the process of revoking his license .

The compliant press is creaming in their pants over the prospect.

Closing arguments in the Hunter Biden gun case will begin. Defense lawyer Abbee Lowell says that the prosecution is doing a magic act illusion by getting the jury to focus on Hunter's years as a crack head . He claims Hunter was clean and sober when he purchased the gun and that therefore Hunter was truthful when filling out the purchase form.

Magicians are good at it . Maybe they tell you they are going to pick a card off the pile ;point to it ;and when you are focused on the card they with sleigh of hand palm another one.

The Biden team may be the masters of the prestige . They have us focused on Hunter's drugs and the relatively minor charges related to the gun .Meanwhile more serious crimes are being overlooked that not only involve Hunter ;but the whole Biden family criminal enterprise. What is the bigger crime ; gun charges or traitorously selling out the nation for pieces of silver ?

Look over there ! Hunter's laptop have naked pictures !!!! You see ;we don't treat the Biden family different ! No one is above the law ;even the President's son who has had a tragic life losing his mother and brother early in his life. Yes drug addiction is bad ;but who could blame him ?

This is a recipe for a hung jury or a nullification . How could such a poor soul be guilty ? In Delaware the Biden family is as close to the equivalent to the House of Windsor as they come .
The compliant press speaks of Joe's uncompromising love of Hunter . Jill Biden criss crossed the Atlantic Ocean to do her duties as First Lady and to support Hunter in court .It's all part of the illusion.

You see ? The DOJ brought Federal charges against a Biden . You can't say they show favoritism .Meanwhile they sabotaged real charges against the Biden crime family .

Many of the worse offenses they have let slide past the statute of limitations .

The beauty of this is that many conservatives think it is Hunter's constitutional right to buy and own a gun. Why aren't they hoping for an acquittal too ?

Now that he is convicted of gun charges what should Hunter do ? If I were him I would appeal the conviction on 2nd amendment grounds (oh the irony as Clueless Joe wants to strip us of 2nd amendment protections. )

His lawyers tried the absurd claim that he purchased the gun in the narrow time between addiction relapses.

They tried to claim that prosecution must prove he used drugs on the day of the purchase.

    What nonsense !!

They had him dead to right on the statutory law .His only defense is his constitutional right to own the gun.

He might also challenge on due process grounds in that he was selectively prosecuted . How many people who are druggies own guns ? I'm guessing the numbers run in the multi-millions .

But prosecutions are comparatively rare .

He may be able to argue he was chosen for political reasons .

    And what about sentencing ?

Well his old man's tough gun control laws (like the one he touted in his speech yesterday makes it more likely he will get a harsh sentence.

Clueless Joe is one contradiction after another. He says pot users are not dangerous so pot should be decriminalized. Yet his laws say that pot users are too dangerous to own guns.

SCOTUS has been ruling in favor of 2nd amendment rights . Hunter should go for it .

One more thing Joe has said he will not pardon Hunter. Wait until after sentencing . As with most things about Quid ;pay attention to what he does ,not what he says .

I expect he will wait until mid November when a pardon won't affect the outcome of the election. He can include Hunter in his Thanksgiving Turkey pardons.

Trump should consider the same approach.

He may be able to argue he was chosen for political reasons .
    Ditto for Trump.

I'd just love seeing Joe's DOJ argue to SCOTUS why the conviction of the President's son should stand ;and Hunter 's lawyers arguing why 'tough on Crime 'Joe's laws are unconstitutional .

I am pretty sure Trump's team has appeals for many constitutional violations including 14th amendment equal protection issues ;a host of other constitutional violations ;and statutory issues including a simple one like the primary jurisdiction doctrine regarding the lack of authority of Bragg to prosecute a Federal Election law case .

[I]The doctrine of primary jurisdiction applies where a claim can originally be addressed in a court but would be better addressed first by an administrative body.

    I
n this case the FEC already had dealt with the possibilty of Trump violating campaign finance laws and had decided there was no case.

I don't know that I'm surprised that HB was found guilty. I think the sentencing phase is where the rubber will meet the road. I don't expect him to ever spend a day in jail. I'm not even convinced he should, considering the relative lack of seriousness surrounding the charge against him.

Am I wrong, or won't he also be facing tax evasion charges at some point in the future?
