    All the world's a stage -----
    And all the men and women merely players;

    They have their exits and their entrances;

    And one man in his time plays many parts,
    William Shakespeare 'As You Like It,')

    Flashback
    Back in the 1930s there was no hotter actor that Charlie Chaplin. His movie 'The Tramp' was the iconic film of the silent era. It is considered the last of the silent films . Having debuted the tramp post WWI ;he revised it throughout his career . The part remained his iconic character until he retired it with his last film .Even then he said that he shouldn't have killed the tramp because it had relevance in the atomic era . The character was adapted to many languages

    Reading Scott Eyman's book about Chaplin 'Charlie Chaplin vs America' I found that Hitler was such an admirer of the character and Chaplin that he wore his mustache like the tramp . He practiced his speeches ;expressions and gestures in front of a mirror ;as Chaplin did throughout his career.

    Later in the spoof of 1930s dictators 'The Great Dictator ' ;Chaplin made his first film that was not silent. He played the dual role of a Jewish barber and a character that for all intent and purpose was Hitler .

    What does that have to do with today ?

    Before entering politics Volodymyr Zelensky was an actor ;famous in Ukraine for his comic satirical portrayal as the President of Ukraine. ('Servant of the People' 2015) .He announced his candidacy for President in 2019 . He won .

    The west needed a charismatic leader of Ukraine to sell the war with Russia and he came at just the right time. They molded him into a Churchillian like character and paraded him through NATO capitals .He made an iconic address to a Joint Session of Congress to thunderous applause.

    As you hear in this video and the one below ;he even sounds like Churchill.

    The war party was ecstatic. There was no amount of monopoly bucks he could not get .The sky was the limit. He was the sacred embodiment of Ukraine itself because they needed him to be that .

    Things started out well . He countered Russia's bumbling initial invasion . As the $$$ and weapons came ;he got ambitious and started an offensive to drive Russia from Ukraine. It was by all accounted a complete failure.

    Now the puppet masters have grown frustrated and tired .

    The US has told him that they cannot squeeze anymore bucks from their empty cupboard .

    Western leaders are telling him to make a deal with Russia.

    Zelensky's like Hitler as the Allies marched on Berlin ;has become stubbornly delusional .
    I spent a year with Zelensky – and saw his personality transform (telegraph.co.uk)

    He feels betrayed . No surprise there . The history of modern US foreign policy is one of betrayal ;a series of commitments abandoned .

    He's not alone. Israel is probably next .

    So the actor playing the part of President is in Davos appealing to the masters of the Universe to keep the play running.

    If they can't give him bucks to continue the war then plan B is more monopoly bucks for rebuilding Ukraine.

    Don't you think this was all foreseeable? Russia has a population of 140 mil with a GDP of 1.8 tril. Ukraine's population is 1/4 that of Russia and its GDP is 1/10. Unless the West is willing to involve itself with boots on the ground and planes in the air, Ukraine cannot possibly push the Russkies out. To stubbornly defend is one thing, but to mount an effective counter-offensive is a far different matter. I would guess that the only hope the Ukes have is to try to outlast the Russians, much as the NVA did with us.

    Even less likely in the fact that the Russians historically take a brutal beating before winning

    Time to scrape the bottom of the barrel .

    Zelensky will propose to Parliament an offer to foreign fighters who join the Ukraine army citizenship. No Russian citizen need apply.

    He's desperate . Think the French Army at the end of WWI . The war had gutted an entire generation of French men(1 million soldiers dead out of a population of 20 million males of all ages ) The French command tried one more desperate offensive .

    Led by French General Robert Nivelle ;the offensive ended like most WWI offensives ,a complete disaster . Oh tactically it would've been considered a success if they had taken their yards of gains and called it . But they decided to attempt a KO on the Germans . That did not work out so well . It began on April 16,1917 . By April 26 ;after heavy casualties . It was effectively over . The Germans also suffered appalling casualties . In the end both sides were exhausted . But in the eastern front revolution ended the Russian participation. The Germans on the west were to be heavily reinforced.

    Mutinies broke out throughout the entire French army. In all 49 divisions experienced some form of mutiny. They were not enough to collapse the French army . But they were enough to prompt a change in command and strategy. Lucky for them there was about to be a fresh reinforcement thanks to German unrestricted sub warfare ;and a very suspicious telegram from German foreign minister Zimmerman (translated by the Brits ..... no comment) that promised US territory to Mexico if the Mexicans attacked the US. This gave President Wilson the excuse he needed for the US to enter the war.

    French command was given to General Petain .The French Army went totally defensive in strategy and awaited the Yanks .

    I do not believe Ukraine has the strength to attempt another offensive. They have been ordered to dig in and assume the defense.

    Financial Times: Ukraine on active defensive, Russia may be preparing major new offensive this summer (yahoo.com)

    Exhausted, on the Defensive and at ‘Hell’s Gate’ in Ukraine - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

    They refuse to negotiate with Russia and a defensive is a losing strategy leading at best to a frozen conflict.

    So what they need is fresh troops . I agree that luring people to Ukraine with the promise of citizenship is a desperate shot in the dark. What they really need is a 'Zimmerman telegraph ' .

    Yertle is on record saying the the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ purportedly going to Ukraine goes instead to US military industrial complex

    most of the money that’s been appropriated for Ukraine security assistance doesn’t actually go to Ukraine. It gets invested in American defense manufacturing. It funds new weapons and munitions for the U.S. armed forces to replace the older material we have provided to Ukraine.
