    The new "unpardonable sin"???
Meghan Mangrum, a reporter for a Dallas newspaper, lost her job this week for the unforgiveable offense of using "bruh" in reference to the black Dallas mayor.

"Bruh, national news is always going to chase the trend," Mangrum told the mayor in the now-deleted Saturday tweet. "Cultivate relationships with quality local news partnerships."
The mayor, evidently not able to tell the difference between a big deal and a not-so-big deal, shot back, "Bruh? Have we met?" The mayor's chief of staff followed that with, "Calling the mayor ‘bruh’ is disrespectful. Be a pro." Now even that strikes me as an overreaction of a major sort, but to fire the lady? Amazing how touchy everyone has become in this brave new world we have entered. The dem mayor might want to call Donald Trump to find out how it feels to be REALLY insulted by the national news media. Better yet, he might try being the bigger person and coming out in favor of the lady keeping her job.

"Can't we all just get along?"

Her intent was not to insult. An apology should''ve been enough . It may be a matter of cultural appropriation . But the word has been part of American popular vernacular for some time now It was not like it was part of a published article . Twitter is mostly informal conversation and I have seen much worse than that word being used there.

Her paper is lying . That Twitter comment is being used as a justification for firing her because she was leading a protest against the paper over staffing issues
