Kevin McCarthy shook DC to it's core when he said today he was willing to release and make public all security footage from the Jan 6 riot. If true then the Dem cover up is coming to a close .

I read your link and it says nothing about coverage that would be damaging to the Democrats or anybody else.

Your characterization of the videos as "the Dem cover up is coming to a close" is a perfect example of how your language skews the story to something it isn't.

That's a right-wing practice and never helps your position when it's exposed for what it is - a lie.

Even if it is not damaging to the Dems they should be released . There are 14,000 hours of security footage that were given to the Kangarood court that have not been released with no explanation. Some of that footage could be important in the defense of the Jan 6 defendants . Maybe they won't be given an Alice in Wonderland kangaroo court . They are entitled to see it .Some of the rioters are still in jail based on the video evidence that was presented in court . The Kanagroo court released some of it mostly snippets that may have been taken out of context . A full release would paint the most complete picture of what happened inside. But the Capitol Police, backed by federal prosecutors, have strictly controlled who can see them and how much footage can be shared with the public.

When asked about releasing the footage McCarthy said “I think the public should see what happened on that day. I watched what Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized it. For the first time in the history as a speaker, not allowing the minority to appoint to a committee,” “We watched the politicization of this. I think the American public should actually see what happened instead of a report that’s written on a political basis.”

There were clear falsehoods in the narrative presented to the American people .Madam Mimi claimed that Repub Reps gave rioters tours of the Capitol on Jan 5 for the purpose of reconnaissance That was a lie . The Dems still try to cover up the fact that it was Madam Mimi and the DC mayor that intentionally understaffed Capitol security on Jan 6 because they were concerned about bad optics .(and that is giving them the benefit of the doubt) even though it was reported that they had intel that there could be trouble at the Capitol.

I already know how this will end up. We still have not seen the JFK information a decade after the 50 years sealing expired

That's really disturbing. It makes me wonder what they're afraid of.

I'm glad you changed your tune.

They should be released to the extent they don't jeopardize any persons or safety procedures.

All of the above is conjecture and is blatantly biased by your use of "Kangaroo Court". The Jan6 Committee was hardly a Kangaroo Court with so much evidence displayed over the term of the committee.

Revisiting this post because of new developments

It is now confirmed that Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony is a lie and the Committee knew it was.

She made her claim to the Committee during a nationally held hearing in June 2022 . The driver offered to testify to refute her claim. The Committee delayed and delayed his testimony for months .They finally heard from him the day before the 2022 midterm election day. This clearly affected the outcome of the election. The Kangaroo Court show trial contributed to a red wave being prevented .

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, the chairman of the House subcommittee that is investigating the Jan. 6 made this public yesterday

The transcript of the driver’s testimony reviewed by Just the News shows his lawyer complained that his client had offered to testify in July, August and September of 2022, but was “rebuffed” by the January 6 committee led by Chairman Rep. Benny Thompson, a Democrat, and Vice Chairwoman Rep. Liz Cheney, a Republican, both fierce opponents of Trump.

“We're talking about the driver of the limousine, and the head of the entire protective detail,” Loudermilk said during a wide-ranging interview with the "Just the News, No Noise" television show. “They were brought in by the select committee to testify, but they weren't brought in until November.
“It was in June when they paraded Hutchinson before the world, and they let the world hear the stories. And what's interesting is in the very beginning of the driver’s testimony, his attorney starts off by chastising the select committee,” Loudermilk also said. “And he said we offered to come in July, August, September, and now it's November. So we found out for the first time that the driver had been offering to come in and testify under oath as far back as just a few weeks after Cassidy made these claims, but the select committee would not bring them in.”
Loudermilk’s description is confirmed by the transcript, which also shows the Secret Service driver testified Trump never tried to reach for or grab the wheel of the SUV as Hutchinson, who wasn’t in the vehicle, alleged in her testimony.
The transcript also shows that Cheney tried to explain to the driver’s lawyer why there was such a long delay in accepting his offer to testify, claiming the committee wanted to wait until the Secret Service produced all documents in the January 6 investigation.
Cheney did not explain why the committee allowed Hutchinson to testify in summer 2022, before the documents were turned over, but then delayed the driver's refutation until much later.

Anyone with even a little bit of sense would have never taken Hutchinson's testimony seriously to begin with because it was nothing more than hearsay. The "he said, she said" nature of the whole thing is apparent from the Wiki article excerpt.

Hutchinson said Ornato told her Trump became irate and attempted to grab the steering wheel of the vehicle, and lunged at Engel's clavicle.[30] She testified Engel was present with Ornato as he related the incident but never contradicted the account.[35] CNN reported three days after Hutchinson's testimony that it had spoken with two Secret Service agents who had heard accounts of the incident from multiple other agents since February 2021, including Trump's driver. Although details differed, agents confirmed there was an angry confrontation, with one agent relating that Trump "tried to lunge over the seat – for what reason, nobody had any idea," but no one asserted Trump attacked Engel. A separate Secret Service official told CNN that Engel denied that Trump grabbed at the steering wheel or lunged toward an agent on his detail, and that Ornato denied telling Hutchinson such
OK. It's all clear now. [SARC]
