As a psychologist, I was invariably sympathetic with individuals who had gender dysphoria and/or became transgender, even though the latter was distasteful to me. However, in recent years I have become deeply antagonistic towards such persons, principally because they have targeted children for chemical and physical mutilation.
The present-day transgender movement can best be understood as simply being one of those castration cults that crop up in history from time to time (some may argue that it is not truly a castration cult since girls are taking part, but the basic principle of genital mutilation applies). The movement began with a minor celebrity in America announcing that he had transitioned into a female identity and the subsequently coordinated torrent of adulation from the media that followed. The popular media’s reaction was very effusive in its approval and of long duration. The clamor was such that he was suddenly awarded the Social Media Queen award, was named one of Glamour’s 25 Glamour Women of the Year, one of 2015 Entertainers of the Year, Barbara Walter’s Most Fascinating Person of 2015, was listed in Time 100, was put in the Vanity Fair and Sports Illustrated covers (both very photoshopped), and given the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. “For being courageous! I’m a bigot for pointing out your flawed reasoning? I don’t think so.
It has long amazed me how some people love to just throw names and accusations around. If someone does not agree with them, then that person somehow becomes a bigot, or one of the people in 1 Timothy 4, or a "fundie white Christian". It seems sad to me not to simply argue the merits of your ideas. And yes, I understand that I have been guilty myself. Perhaps we can all put a stop to it. |

I don't know the actual percentage . But it is not 40 % . If the poll said "tolerate it", or "no problem with it" then maybe it would be believable . But identify ? Come on man ! You are talking about 40 million young adults maybe more . This is a rich nation's obsessive problem . People in other nations concern themselves with the struggle for food, water, shelter ,basic freedoms ,violent wars of revolution; terrorism or narco violence. In America for the most part life's basic needs are met . The Poorest 20% of Americans Are Richer on Average Than Most European Nations - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org) That gives this generation the luxury of the delusions of having an alternate life . This is a fad driven by the media and the academia pseudo-intellectual class that indoctrinate the youth with this drivel instead of reinforcing the principles that created and made this nation. They attack Christianity, limited government, individual liberty , responsibility, and capitalism, To identify as a transformer immediately puts one into an oppressed class ;and as has been noted ,to be woke is to identify as part of a victim group. |

Yep. 40% is an absurd claim if they are claiming to BE LGBTQ. But even if it merely means "supports", it is an alarming truth, and in particular the 30% claim relating to young Christians. There is a delusion spreading in the church that a person can be a practicing homosexual and still be Christian. That is clearly disputed in several places in the Bible but it still spreads among that part of the church that really is not Bible centered to begin with. It seems to center around the idea that the Sermon on the Mount is the core of the Christian faith. The idea of a genuine commitment to Christ with a resulting new birth and a decision to truly follow Him rather than sin is shoved into the background.
