Thank you, President Biden/Harris
The producer price index for final demand increased at a 7.8% pace for the 12 months ended July, according to the Labor Department. The July print was faster than the 7.3% pace recorded in June and ahead of the 7.3% rate that analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting. The reading was the strongest since recordkeeping began in November 2010.
Producer prices rose 1% in July, matching the increase from June. Analysts were anticipating prices would grow at a 0.6% pace.

Didn't you hear ;it is temporary? When lock downs happen demand may not decrease ;but the ability to purchase will decrease and the economy will pivots back to recession.

omg you really drank the kool aid . All over the world Paris ,Rome ,Spain , Sydney , people are fed up and are resisting the absurd government power grabs of the endless crisis . You are afraid to go outside . Fine . But you want the rest of the planet locked down too. .
The reaction of the spring of last year was understandable because no one knew about the virus . Now people are being vaccinated ,cheap therapeutics are available that the government health officials for some odd reason are silent about . There is no excuse for the government excesses .
Forget the panic pandemic . More harm will come to people having to pay wheel barrels of cash to buy staples than any virus can cause . More harm is happening to people who are going to grocery stores and seeing empty shelves because of the supply chain disruption .

Exactly correct. Clete is retired and lives on a nice income. He's not worried about work or taking the kids to school. Staying home is fine with him.

Unbelievable opening to that article. CNN is still the network of TDS.
"At the heart of Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign was a single word: competence. After four years of Donald Trump's incompetence in, well, everything, the Biden argument was that the country badly needed a steady hand on the tiller -- someone who had been there and done that. Someone who didn't need training to do the job. Someone who was exactly the opposite of the guy currently in office."
