The conservative Christians I've known throughout my life say, yes, if she's married, she wears a wedding ring. (The husband doesn't have to wear one.)

so was I which is why I did not address the broad brush label of 'conservative Christian ' . I do not either know or care about their religious convictions or their personal relationship .

You should care since a large part of Trump's followers are the white evangelicals. They are the largest single sub-group of Trump followers. Their importance lies in understanding why a self-identified religious congregation would support a man who behaves in such a manner opposite to the religious beliefs of the group.
