    52" Mediterranean Ceiling fan bu Hamoton Bay
    It seems the downrod and ball assembly does not fit through the motor collar cover. Dlownrod is oval while Collar cover hole is oblong. Do I have to try and force it or have to reem it out?

    You remove the downrod, slip the cover over it, and replace the downrod.

I have tried a number of ways to fit the remote fan receiver into the canopy but have been unsuccessful. Any ideas? I looked at the diagram and it shows the receiver oriented with flat side up. Despite my efforts, I just can't seem to make it fit.

I'm trying to install a Hampton Bay-Frontera ceiling fan with the optional 4.5" downrod option instead of the standard 12". It does not appear that the 4.5" rod will fit because of the fan's decorative scroll. Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious?
