Trump, like any weaselly con-man, is able to be ambiguous so the weak-minded see only the surface of what he claims. "Dog whistle" has become a common expression for racism that most people get. Trump communicates racial subtleties to his loyal base who know exactly what he means. He's been doing it for decades.

Even so, sometimes he gets caught. After 5 minority teenagers had been acquitted of a crime for which they had unjustly served many years, Trump continued to call them guilty even after DNA evidence proved otherwise. Why?
