Can I connect two condensate pump lines into the same sewer pipe using a T connection
    Hi,

We have a furnace that has a condensate pump attached to it to pump condensate into a drain line at the point where a sink drains. This has been working well for 20+ years with no problems.

Now, we are installing a new water heater that also needs a condensate connection.

Can I install a T junction at the point where the 3/8" condensate tube attaches to the pvc in order to route the condensate from both the furnace and the water heater to the same drain?

My concern is that the condensate from one pump will be sent to the other pump! If this is a valid concern, what is the best approach here?

    Thanks!

Put a small inline check valve or find out if the pump already has one.

Both pumps have check valves on their outlets. So I'm cool to use a T?

    Thanks!
