Could someone give me step by step how to check for latest version of Google Chrome on my Windows 10 computer? I tried looking it up, but they showed photos and they were not clear. Thanks

On Google chrome, whenever I bookmark a website it is bookmarked until I turn the computer off. When I turn it back on all of the websites that were bookmarked are gone.
