    Are there parts available for jc penny belt sander model 4970c
    I have model 4970c jc penny belt sander. Are there any repair parts for this unit or is it a throw away unit?

    I would guess it is at least 30+years old. For light weight work, HD has a Ryobi for $40. I have a Makita 3 x 21that I bought 10 years ago for $75. Get a decent brand or you will always be chasing parts. If it runs, get a tax write off at Goodwill!

I have a JCPenney 3x21 belt sander, model # 2110C. I would like to tune it up and find some replacement parts for it. New front wheel, new motor brushes, new cork pad and plate etc. It looks very much like a Porter Cable as far as parts design.
