    Globe broke on our kitchen ceiling fan
    Where do you find out what kind of fan it is. Our globe broke on our kitchen ceiling fan that was here when we bought the house. The globe connects to the fan light kit by twisting it closed (little bumps keep it in) Hampton's Mortelli fan has a light fixture that looks like it may work but it is less than the 10" light globe that we need. Now what.

    Take a pic and go to HD. Look for a name on the fan, Hampton Bay and Hunter are HD. Harbor breeze is Lowe's. You can get retro fit lights , particularly at Lowe's, they are almost a universal fit now.

    Measure the diameter of where your globe fit and shop for that size.
