    Felony reduction
I have a first degree felony of aggravated robbery in Utah and would like to know how if possible to reduce it to a second degree felony. Then I can work on the expungement of felony. Thank you for your time.

You will need to talk to local law enforcement.

Why do you think you are entitled to expunge a felony conviction? That's a valid question because you will have to convince the courts. And isn't likely to happen. Also if you have already been convicted.. you won't get it reduced.. and if you haven't been to court yet... you should be talking to your lawyer about trying to get a plea deal. Because otherwise... its not going to happen.

    Hello

Unless new evidence come to light suggesting your part in the robbery wasn't as big as suggested or you didn't do the crime , then no you are not able to have a convicted charge changed.

I.E You had another person with you who actually did the crime and you were just the Accomplice.

Its unclear whether you have been convicted or just charged. If you have been convicted then its too late to reduce the charge. If you have not gone to trial yet, then have your attorney approach the prosecutor about a plea deal.

I will agree, if you are just changed, at this time, then there is lots of opportunity for your attorney to do a plea bargain and other was to reduce a charge.

If you are already convicted, there is no way to "reduce it" once you are convicted.
