    Writ of seizure
    I recently had my checking account garnished for 1300 dollars by a collection company. Are they allowed to take all my funds of only the 25% allowed by law on wage garnishments

    You had your bank account "attached" and yes they may take all the fund. The 25 percent ( if that is your state max) is for income (paychecks) In many places they can take 50 percent of people without dependents.

    But yes on bank accounts they can and do take all the money in it, normally leaving you with a lot of checks that will bounce.
