1990 Honda Civic DX 3 dr Hatchback
My 1990 Honda Civic DX 3 dr Hatchback has been sitting for a couple of years with starting it occasionally without any issues. Eventually the battery went bad so I had just jumped started it occasionally with no problems until lately. I have replaced my battery and starter on it and it will not start. I can here to relay under the dash clicking but the starter will not do anything. Can anyone give me some guidance please.

Try starting it with a remote starter switch or 12 AWG wire from the positive battery terminal to the "S" terminal on the solenoid. Ignition switch set to ON, transmission in neutral, and emergency brake on.

The relay you hear clicking may be the starter cut relay, located on the left kick panel. Check that the clutch switch pedal pad is not missing. If it's missing, you should see pieces of it on the driver's floor mat.

Problem starts when I waited for a train, shut off the motor and kept lights and stereo on, next day tried to boost it, nothing, then tried changing the battery, nothing... so when towing we bump started it by popping the clutch and putting it in first, so it runs, but won't start.
