UPVC will be marked UPVC on the pipe itself. Call around to local plumbing supply stores to find the stuff... not common in our area.

Regular PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a common, strong but lightweight plastic used in construction. It is made softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers. If no plasticizers are added, it is known as uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride).

Every pipe has identifying stamp along its length that clearly specifies what kind of pipe it is.

To purchase uPVC, you will have to go to a supply house that caters to trade.

I assume the water you plan on transporting is potable water. I am not expert on application of PVC pipes, but in my area of operation, PVC and uPVC are not suitable for transport of potable water. So check with your local Building Codes before you buy. For this purpose, you should use cPVC (chlorinated PVC )

    Hope that helps
