I've been in trouble once and paid my debt to society. I still hack a few months of parole left. I live in an apartment building that see a lot of drug activities, my apartment NOT being one of them. I was spending a few days at my parents house and while I was away my apartment was raided by my PO and the local drug police. Apparently an anonymous phone call was made to the police that I was manufacturering and distributING methamphetamins out out my apartment.

First of all I have neverseen meth nor do I know how to make it. I have never had a drug charge, because I don't use the crap. My apartmentwas rensacked and nothing, absolutely nothing was found during there search. I walked to the PD and wanted answers as to why they did this to me. Needless to say I was treated like a cold hated criminal answer the detective was a total prick. I have been a model parolee with no police contact, no failed drug test and have done EVERYTHING that have been asked of me.
I feel like my rights have been violated, my civil rights were played with. I feel harassed and now feel more paronoid then I already am. BTW. I have PTSD, BI-POLAR, papanoia. And social phobia and a mung other things. What happened made my condition worst

My question is what can I do? Do I have a law suit? Can I sue

You were on parole. You don't have any rights that were violated by the search. Being on parole they have that consent as one of the conditions. There is no case.

Your condition(s) has nothing to do with being on parole... and offers you no special rights.

And sometimes this happens to people who are NOT on parole either... in those cases search warrants would be issued by the court prior to the raid.

I don't know what you are on parole for, but living in a building that is notorious for drugs puts you on the radar. Until you are off parole, or move out of that building, you gave a target on your back.

PTSD and Bi-polar disorder doesn't give you a free pass.

Truth told, you haven paid your debt to society because you are still on parole.

I am first surprised the PO allows you to live in that area, since contact with other people who criminals is a violation.

But you have no rights, you signed those away to get on parole. The PO may come and enter and search your home anytime they want. The police may come with the PO, or do the search under the PO order.

You sit back and be glad, they did not violate you.

As disturbing as this experience was, the fact that your PO was involved should tell you something (You are probably NOT his only client that lives in this building, or the only parolee at the location). The cops gave him a heads up of their raid for him to be there. This also often happens in sweeps and raids that are broad because of high activity.

Also know that this is likely to happen again. No you cannot sue, or be exempt from such actions, being you are in the middle of a known location for criminal activity.

Keep your nose clean and continue to be a model parolee, and if you want peace from this madness... MOVE to better a place. I doubt seriously if this was the first raid/sweep of this building by cops, nor will it be the last.
