    Move out pro rated rent
I Have a one year lease with my apartment complex, they gave me a pro rated amount when I moved in and they told me I get a pro rated amount when I move out. I pay $699 a month and on the last month I only can stay till the 11th day of the month so how would I figure out how much I would have to pay on the last month for the 11 days I stay?

They told you this but what does your lease actually say?

If your lease actually has in writing that you get your last month pro rated you are extremely lucky because that is extremely rare... you usually have to pay for the entire last month... if you are there or not.

Like ballengerb1 said... you might remember that... they might have actually said that... but what matters is what is actually in writing because THAT'S what you signed and agreed to.

... so how would I figure out how much I would have to pay on the last month for the 11 days I stay?
The answer is: (days stayed) x (monthly rate)/ (days in month) = 11 x $699/30 = $219.64. That is, of course assuming 30 days for the length of the last month (September, April, June, or November). More if it's February; less if it's a 31-day month.

Also of course, if you have given them enough notice of moving out. The pro rated (if given) would not be effective if a proper notice not given.

 Hi there. I just recently broke my rental lease agreement with my landlord in California by giving her a 60 day notice to vacate.
