Hampton Bay Campbell w remote - lights/motor don't work bulb popped
Less than year old Hampton Bay Campbell series with 3sp remote w dimmer

Long story short, popped a bulb and melted a light socket, now whole unit dead, motor and lights inop, pulled light kit, found 2 wire black capacitor (wattage limiter) smelled burned, called Hampton Bay - they SOLD me a $20 light kit which had no 2 wire box, weeks later still no capacitor fail, went to home depot they gave me one out of box, installed and whole unit still dead. I am unable to locate a fuse for this unit, I was assuming the capacitor was the fuse, is the fuse in the receiver in the mount? Or is the receiver fried?

Wattage limiter is not a capacitor. What wattage light bulbs did you have in place?
