My sump pump keeps flushing water but water keeps coming back up.
My sump pump is running and flushing the water, but the water seems to be coming back up the same level each time. What could be the issue? I just bought this sump pump 2 months ago. Thanks

" back up the same level" what level is that? Does the float ever drop down to shut of the pump? Is this a pedestal pump, if so it common to have about a foot of water in the sump.

Our first house had a sump pump for the basement. The discharge from the pump was maybe 1.5". It fitted into a sleeve like funnel and a 2" pipe, sort of like an old boiler drain that went out into the yard. We moved from there in 1972 so I don't know what may be there now.
