Best bet would be to contact a Cummins service location directly with a quick phone call. Is it possibly an ISX 450? Or definitely the code was 450?

Yep, unless someone else here is able to provide the answer, it might be best to have your friend either call Cummins, and inquire, or if it obviously needs work, take it in. Of course, there is always the possibility of your friend being able to take care of the problem his/herself once it is determined and if they can do it.

The "450" could be in regards to an ISX450 and the code is mistakenly "450". You would need to find out. Could be 450 is just a general code but doesn't actually give you a specific problem. (what's going on with the truck and how did your friend get the code?). Also possible that even if you do have a code, it may not always be the exact problem, possible that something else is causing that code to come up.

That's what I'm thinking.. With all this Modular / Piggy Backing , if you will.. Whatever it is could be something totally opposite... Just hope he don't have to dig deep to pay for repairs... lol...
