Pennsylvania legal help with vacation rental
I rented a vacation house in the Pennsylvania poconos through a real estate agent. When I arrived there was another family in the house. To find out the owner let someone else use it. He did not care that I had a lease. I contacted the agent to return my money.

What is your question? What was the agent's response to you? Did you sign a contract?

We need all pertinent information in order to help you properly.

Not only must the agency, (and the owner) since he is libel for the actions of his agent working on his behalf, return the money, but they can be libel for other money that may be lost. (higher cost of other rental property) cost of finding other rental and other costs that resulted from this.

You may have to file law suit (small claims) against both the owner and the agnecy.

It would help us help you if you explained what help you want.

You say you had a lease? Did you have it written? Who signed the lease? How did you travel to Poconos? Were you able to find a place to stay? Did you have to cancel?

You are definitely entitled to a refund plus your costs incurred? What has the agent said?

Correct, but Fr Chuck means "liable" instead of "libel", and of course "agency".
