I just got released per being sentenced with felony probation 18mos and I have to check in to probation today, but I' ed up and did a shot of meth last night. What will happen to me?

If they do a drug test, you'll fail, and they'll revoke your probation... You KNEW that last night, didn't you?

Self control is your friend while on probation. You need to realize that you're still in the corrections system. Which is to say that you're still in jail, it is just that you're outside of a prison. You are still subject to a great number on restrictions while you finish your rehabilitation. You've agreed to these restrictions so that you can be on probation. You can violate the terms and conditions of your probation but may eventually be caught. It is a gamble, and the odds are stacked against you if you violate your probation. The only way that you win is if you follow the terms and conditions of your probation. This will ensure that they'll have NOTHING against you and you're probation will never be revoked nor will any time be added to your sentence.

That being said and as excon said, if they test you for illicit substances, and they probably will, you will fail. I would take a little time to get your affairs in order such as you can. Use the time to contemplate if the meth was worth it. IF you do escape this time, I would look at support groups for substance abuse. They'll help you and you only need to attend while you're on probation. Once you're free and clear, you can do anything you want.

Yes, I did. I am severely regretting it and even knew I would as I did the shot. I have ben struggling with heroin and meth addiction for 7 years:/ this is my first and ony felony/case, and I have never been on probation before. But I'm ing terrified right now.

Hopefully, you live in a progressive jurisdiction where they understand addiction, and where you can get help INSTEAD of a violation.. I can't imagine that they DIDN'T know. That you slipped shouldn't be a surprise to ANYONE.

Some PO, will be OK with a failure on the first test. Others will not.

You have a good chance of returning to prison for 18 months. If you have a PO that actually wants to help people, ask them for a drug program, to help you kick the habit.
