    Is it possible
I'm wanting my husband to adopt my daughter he is the one raising her, her biological father has nothing do do with her he never calls or helps with anything and has a bad back ground. How would he go about the adoption if its possible

Start by asking the bio dad if he will give up his rights. If he says he will not then you are stuck.

How long have you been married to the one wanting to adopt?

Does the bio father have any rights awarded to him by the courts? Was custody / support ever settled ?

If he is unwilling to give his rights up so your husband can adopt then it is still posible but you have a much harder and expensive road to travel.

Please dont attempt this without an attorney.

It is certainly possible, but I would start by consulting an attorney. The court will require that the bio father's permission be obtained. Even if he has had nothing to do with the child. If he refuses to sign, the court may still override his objection because of his lack of being a father. But you will need an attorney to prepare the petition properly.
