Okay, the tubular lighting system is just that, a light source. With the proper diffuser mounted, it will literally light an entire kitchen. As to low daylight days, the way the tube system reflects the light from outside will still light the entire kitchen.

It certainly is not designed to replace the entire lighting system in a home. It also is not a power source for an entire home. Windmills, solar panels are designed to do that.
