    Carrier Heat pump issues;
    My AC compressor unit out side will stop working and of course I see this when the thermostat shows the temp rising in the house. I kill the power to the compressor unit, shutoff all thermostats and then remove the molex connector from the circuit board in the compressor unit. As soon as I remove the connector the compressor seems to release pressure... I wait a few minutes, turn everything back on and after a bit of a time dealy everything is working again. Trying to figure out how to determine what is causing the issue... fan motor... compressor... Any tips would be appreciated!

    What your probably hearing is when you pull the molex the reversing valve is being denergized. Then the pressure is released. Most likely the unit is going off on safety pressure switch.
