    Unprotected sex
Hello guys.. I'll be needing some help on information about pregnancy
Apparently, me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex, during her period of menstruation. Even though I'm quite sure I didn't ejaculate inside her, we are worried that she might get pregnant, because we can't afford to let that happen for the time being. Is there anything we could do to avoid her pregnancy?

Yep, abstinence works wonders, failing that a couple of forms of protection, either chemical or barrier methods.

"we are worried that she might get pregnant, because we can't afford to let that happen for the time being". Which then begs the question-Why are you having sex or at a minimum, unprotected sex?

ANY time there is penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy. So, yes, she might be pregnant. However, sex during menstruation is unlikely to result in pregnancy.

As others have noted, if you can't afford pregnancy then don't engage in sexual intercourse, especially without protection. Though I am curious about this; "Apparently, me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex, " How does one "apparently" have unprotected sex. Either protection was used or it wasn't.

If you can not afford it, then do not do it again.

If it is within a short time, she takes a "morning after pill" but it has to be taken within 72 hours. (and is less and less effective the longer you wait)

You next if you can not afford it, then no sex. Since no birth control is 100 percent effective. But you use at least 2 types of birth control, each time, for best.

A woman can get pregnant any time during the month, even during menstruation (rare, but it can and does happen).

No form of birth control is 100% effective, even if you use 3 or more forms correctly. In other words, any time you have sex, pregnancy is possible. Having unprotected sex makes pregnancy even more likely.

When did you have sex? The morning after pill, also not 100% effective, is most effective an likely to work within 24 hours of intercourse. The longer you wait, the less likely it is to work.

Bottom line, if you can't afford a baby, you can't afford to have sex.
