How should I tell my mom I am dating?
So I started dating this guy about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I feel like we will be together for a while but I don't know how to tell my mom. She is at work almost all day and when she gets home she eats then goes to bed so it's difficult for me to talk to her. I want to know if I should tell her while she is eating and risk getting her frustrated, or if I should just text her and not be able to really talk to her. This is my first boyfriend so I really don't know what to do. Thank you for your time.

Really, yr mom has no time for you ! Incredible !
Don't text her, get right out there and write her a letter, and leave it on her pillow !
I am sorry you have to live like that, my son never had to, we talked about absolutely ANYTHING !
I really hope she had enough time to have THE TALK about the birds and the bees, but we are always here for you if you need us.

Thank you so much. Her schedule just changed about a week before I was asked out and is supposed to change back in a in June but I would rather tell her sooner than later if you know what I mean.

You know her schedule and yours better the anyone. The date can be changed. Relationship between your mom and you can't be changed. Good luck !

First, at 14, does your mother allow you to date? Second, is this thread, https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dating...ow-811720.html , about the boy you are 'dating'?
Why not start by letting her know you need to talk to her? A simple "Mom, can we talk?" is usually a good place to start and can be a way to set up a time to talk.
If she is against you dating until you are older, be prepared to end things with the boy. If she is okay with you dating but has restrictions and rules, obey them.
By showing your mother you can act in a mature manner, you might be showing her that she can trust you which can lead to a relaxation of the rules.

Also if it's the same boy make sure you tell her all the juicy tidbits of his life. Hopefully you have made better choices from two weeks ago.

Are you even old enough to date? Does your mom approve of you dating? I'm thinking you're worried about telling her because she would not like it.

I wouldn't use the term dating, it confuses older people and parents. Why not just tell her there is a boy you like at school, and he likes you too.

The first question I have to ask is do your parents permit you to "date". The second question is what do you consider "dating".
You don't tell your parents you are dating unless they have already given you permission to date. You first ask for permission.
And if this is the same boy you describe in your other posts. No 14 yr old buys a girl earrings unless they have been seriously dating for a while.

Yes, I agree, exactly what type of dating do you plan on doing. 14 is really too young to be doing any serious dating, that I think of for high school teens.
How old is this boy, you could not really say yes to the boy, without asking your mom permission to date.
