    Form 8843
I came to US with F1 visa in 2011. I did not earn any money from 2011 to now. I just knew that I need to file Form 8843 even thought I did not have any income. Can I file Form 8843 for three years from 2011 to 2014 in this year? Do I need also file something to clarify why I did not file them on time? And what kinds of penalties will I have?
Thank you so much for your help!

    Lillian,

To my knowledge, the IRS has NEVER levied penalties for the late filing of Form 8843, which should be submitted each year whether you have income or not.

Just download the Form 8843 for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 from Internal Revenue Service, complete them, print them off, SIGN them and mail them to the IRS center at Austin, Texas.

And do NOT worry about submitting them late. It is a minor paperwork drill.
