Shorted a ceiling fan - now nothing works?
In trying to get the light fixture off I shorted something - went to reset breaker and now have this weird issue with my fan constantly on an extremely low setting. Also can't change the speed nor turn on the light now. I've tried every permutation of hitting the wall switch, replacing remote batterey, pressing every button, reseting breaker, pulling that chain on the fixture. Not sure what else I can try. My airworks ceiling fan model RUT52WHESILT works with remote for all 3 fan positions but does not operate the light. What could be the problem?
I was changing one of the light bulbs on my hamptonbay ceiling fan and the fan lights shorted out. The fan works, the switch seems to be good but the lights won't come on.
After about 4 months of use, this began to happen. I would try to turn on the fan (either Low Med or High) and the fan would barely turn. Sometimes it would work - this lasted for about 5 days. Since then, if you try to turn on the fan, you get no response. Now, the light will still turn on...
Took old fan down put new one up wired it the same way,and when power is turned back on the lights and fan work but when you try to turn them off with the switch they won't go off.
Hey Guys, I own a Harbor Breeze Armitage ceiling fan (model CC52WW5C) and the fan has stopped working. The light works fine but I get nothing from the fan. Any ideas? Or doesn't anybody have some contact info for Harbor Breeze (besides "Go to Lowes")? Thanks!
