    I tmay not seem like a big state, but really, you have to find someone within 40 miles or so of your home.
    I still use the Yellow Pages, but there is also Angie's List and Home Advisor, which is free but newer. Both online.

    Google "hvac repair" and include your zip code, and you can review them online from the list that comes up. Your yellow pages are online too, and so are Better Business Bureau result for any company too.

    I recently had to replace my heat and air. Word of mouth treated me right. Best service at lowest cost.
